Supply Chain Coordinator

Location: Beverley, East Yorkshire
Reports To: Supply Chain Manager
Working Hours: 8:30-4:45 Mon-Thur (30min lunch) 8:30-12:30 Fri (no lunch)
Salary: Negotiable

Role Purpose
The Supply Chain Coordinator will support the planning function and provide cover when required. This role involves running MRP processes, ordering raw materials, managing stock levels, and maintaining ERP system accuracy. The position also includes production follow-up and handling supply chain-related enquiries to ensure smooth operations.

Key Responsibilities
• Planning Support & Cover
o Assist the planning team with production scheduling and capacity planning.
o Provide cover for the planning function during absence or peak periods.
• MRP & Ordering
o Run MRP (Material Requirements Planning) to determine material requirements.
o Raise and manage purchase orders for raw materials and components.
• Stock Management & Analysis
o Monitor inventory levels and ensure optimal stock availability.
o Analyse stock data and adjust ERP parameters (e.g., safety stock, reorder points) to 
improve accuracy and efficiency.
• ERP System Maintenance
o Ensure ERP system reflects accurate planning and inventory data.
o Identify and implement improvements to system settings for better performance.
• Production Chasing & Enquiries
o Liaise with production teams to ensure timely completion of planned orders.
o Respond to internal and external enquiries related to supply chain and material 
availability.

Skills & Experience
• Strong understanding of supply chain principles and MRP processes.
• Experience with ERP systems (preferably [insert system name if applicable]).
• Analytical mindset with ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.

Desirable Qualifications
• Experience in Supply Chain, Customer Service, or related field.
• Previous experience in manufacturing or similar environment.
