We are looking for an enthusiastic Junior Camera Operator & Editor to join our busy production team and support the visual and social execution of studio and location-based video projects. Reporting to our Art Director and working with our Lead Filmmaker, this role involves pre-production, filming and editing.
You’ll be working with a young, ambitious team at Pace that’s actively growing its in-house production arm, building a future-focused creative studio grounded in collaboration, experimentation and high production value.
This entry-level position is ideal for someone with foundation knowledge of cinematography and post-production workflows, seeking to grow their skills in a professional and collaborative environment.
Key responsibilities
- Assist in Camera Operations
Support lead camera operators on shoots, handling camera setup, lenses, batteries, and basic lighting setups. Capture high-quality footage as directed during shoots - Editing
Ingest, organise and edit footage using DaVinci Resolve or Premier. Deliver rough cuts and final exports that meet technical and stylistic expectations - Collaborate with the Production Team
Work alongside the Lead Filmmaker and Junior Production Editor to understand project goals, ensure shoots run smoothly and deliver assets on time - Pre-Production Support
Participate in pre-production planning, including location recces, shot lists and gear preparation. Learn from senior team members how to interpret storyboards and production scripts - Post-Production Workflows
Assist with colour correction, sound syncing and final exports. Apply feedback from the Art Director efficiently to refine output and maintain creative integrity. Support studio with motion graphics tasks such as lower-thirds, titles or overlays using After Effects, where applicable. Training will be provided as needed - Maintain Equipment
Ensure all filming gear is clean, functional and correctly stored. Report any issues or damages promptly - Continuous Learning
Actively seek feedback and mentorship to improve technical and creative skills. Stay updated with best practices in filming and editing
Ideal candidate
- 1+ years of experience in camera work and editing (professional or strong portfolio of personal projects)
- Strong proficiency in DaVinci Resolve / Premier Pro
- Familiar with camera systems
- Understanding of core principles of lighting, composition and audio
- Organised, reliable and eager to learn
- Clear communicator and collaborative team player
