Three Crowns return as Hull City celebrates its connection to the city

8 September 2026

Hull City and OXEN Sports are proud to unveil our third kit for the 2026/27 Premier
League campaign.

Third Kit Launch 29

Paying homage to the city that we are from and love, the third kit is influenced by the 1935/36 home kit, when the Club switched to blue and white to match the civic colours of Kingston upon Hull.

Back in 1935, the Three Civic Crowns from the city’s coat of arms became the first embroidered badge to feature on a Hull City shirt, arranged vertically within a blue shield. The Club retained the badge until after the Second World War, when the first Tiger logo was introduced in 1947. Now, the Three Civic Crowns crest returns to a Hull City shirt once again.

In collaboration with Hull City Council, the gold crowns take centre stage on the third kit, paying homage to Hull’s rich heritage and the enduring connection between the city and the Club. The design is completed by a gold OXEN Sports logo, with Corendon Airlines proudly sitting on the front of the shirt and sleeve sponsor McVitie’s featuring on the left sleeve.

The striking blue design is complemented by white collars and sleeves, featuring fine blue and gold trims, while two blue buttons provide a distinctive finish that sets the shirt apart from the home and away City Speaks kits.

On the rear of the shirt, the Tiger crest completes the design, presented in gold beneath the collar and above the Premier League lettering and squad number.

Continuing ‘The City Speaks’ theme, a third line from the famous poem, written by Hull-born poet Shane Rhodes, features on the inside back neck, continuing to reflect the way the city and its community inspire the Club.

‘Before the three coronets were stamped, we punched our gold with H for Hull,’

reinforces the connection between the football club and the city of Hull, emphasising how proud we are to represent the city and its people.

The kit is completed with white shorts and blue and white hooped socks, with the OXEN Sports logo presented in gold on the front of the socks.
