The Deep named UK's best aquarium by Tripadvisor for the second year

Hull’s iconic aquarium and conservation charity has retained the top aquarium spot in Tripadvisor’s Traveller’s Choice list for the second year in a row.

The world’s biggest travel guidance platform has, once again, named The Deep as the best-rated aquarium to visit in the UK this year.

This accolade is based on achieving over 5,000 reviews in total, with over three quarters of reviews rating the aquarium good and excellent.

The Traveller’s Choice Awards by Tripadvisor recognises travellers' favourite destinations, hotels, restaurants, and things to do around the world, based on reviews and ratings collected over every 12 months.

2026’s updated ranking puts the renowned Yorkshire-based attraction ahead of the country’s other aquariums after earning consistently good feedback from its visitors, praised particularly for its accessibility and unique habitats.

This great news comes ahead of another exciting year for The Deep as it celebrates its 25-year anniversary in March 2027, marking the aquarium as one of the UK’s most successful Millenium Projects.
