East Yorkshire family firm M.B. Roche & Sons Ltd wins Royal recognition with King’s Award for Enterprise

M.B. Roche & Sons Ltd, a family-run civil engineering contractor based in Hessle, has been honoured with a King’s Award for Enterprise in the Promoting Opportunity category.
Announced today, Wednesday 6 May, M.B. Roche & Sons Ltd is one of only 185 businesses nationwide to receive this prestigious accolade, the highest official honour for British companies. The award recognises the firm’s deep rooted commitment to social mobility and its initiative to empower disadvantaged groups through construction experience and workforce development.
Founded on a mission to positively impact the local community, the company’s initiative provides meaningful pathways into employment for veterans, ex-offenders, care leavers, refugees and neurodiverse individuals.

As a recipient of the King’s Award, M.B. Roche & Sons Ltd is now entitled to fly the King’s Award flag and use the prestigious Emblem on its marketing materials for the next five years.
