The Future Humber Blog

Future Humber are excited to have launched the new place marketing brochure for those looking to make the move to the Humber. The new Your Move brochure is 84 pages showcasing the fantastic career and lifestyle opportunities the Humber offers.

Your Move is a great example of how local Bondholder businesses have joined forces to produce a vital tool for talent recruitment and retention. It’s a huge undertaking, bringing together current information from all four local authority areas in the Humber and providing a representative picture of the region. It's the perfect tool for HR Directors, managers, and recruitment agencies in recruiting people to the area. If you live here already, you can pick up some good tips for the latest best restaurants, shopping areas and places to visit!

Future Humber is hugely proud of this production and the role it will play both in helping our Bondholders attract talent to the region, and influencing businesses to select the Humber as a prime investment location. We would like to thank all involved in making it happen.

First of all, we would like to say a big thank you to the funding from supporters Alan Wood and Partners, Beal Homes, Drax, Emmerson Kitney, Hull City Council, Rollits, Sewell Group and Smith and Nephew. Check out their pages in the brochure, especially if you are looking to move to the area for work.

Thank you also to Visit Hull, Visit East Yorkshire, Discover North East Lincolnshire, Visit North Lincolnshire and Yorkshire and Humber Relocation who provided imagery and support in creating the content.

We are grateful for the participation of our case studies and their families, and to the models we recruited to help us to update our image library for use both in Your Move and in other upcoming publications. Tom Arran was the photographer for sessions in North and North East Lincolnshire, and Bondholders provided us with up-to-date images to use in the employment, education, and tourism sections.

Our cover stars are Nick Browning and his family who moved to Cleethorpes from Leicester. Nick is the Head of Culture, Heritage, Leisure & Tourism at North East Lincolnshire Council.

You can read more about their experience in the brochure, as well as those of families, couples and singles who have made the move to Hull, East Yorkshire and Northern Lincolnshire.

Thank you also to Bluestorm Design who worked hard with our team to create the print and the digital version of the brochure, including all the videos, and to Image Data Group for doing a cracking job on the printed version, both in terms of quality and in making sure we had the brochures available in time for Humber Business Week.

The brochure is interactive, through QR codes (the print version) and clickable links (the e-version), which is really effective. We have some accompanying videos, which are really useful and add an extra dimension. Take a look.

‘Your Move’ was launched at our Bondholder Breakfast event ‘Let’s Talk Place’ which also launched Biz Week 2023. Print versions will be available at our upcoming events and are in the process of being distributed to Bondholders to use by their recruitment teams across the Humber.

The e-version is available to anyone who wants to take a look. If you’re a business in the Humber, please do feel free to share it with prospective employees. It really is a good resource.
