On World Mental Health Day, we partnered with Hull and East Yorkshire Mind to deliver a morning of Workplace Wellbeing to Bondholders and guests at the MKM Stadium, Hull.

Emma Dallimore, Chief Executive of Hull and East Yorkshire Mind delivered the welcome and the introduction

The first session looked at the impact of the cost of living crisis on employee wellbeing and was led by Kirsty Connor of Citizens Advice Hull and East Riding.

The next session was led by David Gent of Active Humber and focussed on the link between physical activity and mental wellbeing. We were shown some easy to do office-based physical activity by Liam and Dan from CrossFit Humber and Move Humber.

Next up, we were shown a video of a lady who had been impacted by suicide, which was very powerful.

Stevie Scott of Hull and East Yorkshire Mind talked us through menopause and how it impacts on the workplace and what employers can do to provide support.

Yvonne Sharp of Hull and East Yorkshire Mind looked at workplace wellbeing and the costs of action and inaction.

Last up, was Kate Van Der Sluis of Humber HR People, who looked at organisational wellbeing and the importance of creating a working environment conducive to good employee wellbeing, including nurturing talent, giving a shout out to our talent developement and support programme Talent+.

Overall, it was an interesting morning with lots to take away and implement in our workplaces.
