Humber Business Week Launch 2026 7

Earlier this week, Future Humber joined the Humber Energy Board at Reset Connect North at the Royal Armouries in Leeds, alongside investors and industry leaders focused on sustainable growth.

Across the two days, the team held a series of positive conversations and meetings with partners, businesses and policymakers about the scale of opportunity across Humber and the role the region will play in the UK’s industrial transition.

With projects across hydrogen, carbon capture and storage, alongside offshore wind, up to £44bn of private investment is aligned with developments across Humber’s energy cluster. Key national decisions expected this year will determine how quickly these projects move from planning into delivery.

Humber holds 66% of the UK’s licensed carbon storage capacity, has the potential to deliver up to half of the UK’s low carbon hydrogen ambition, and remains one of the country’s most established offshore wind bases.

For Future Humber, the focus is ensuring the full opportunity is understood. Energy transition here means jobs, supply chains and long term growth for communities across the region.

Attention now turns to the national decisions that will shape the next phase of delivery. Humber is ready.
