Education and skills played an important role in the 2020 summit.
To raise awareness of our region’s capabilities and create connections between the Humber’s talent pipeline and the emerging career opportunities on the Energy Estuary.
Being thrust into the online event space created the opportunity to shape our education and skills resources and collaborate on existing projects happening in the region. These resources included, Mytopia, the green city building game, the Earth 2050 art competition, the Waterline student e-book and Serious Geo Games with the Earth Arcade.
Mytopia, our green city building game, builds awareness of how our every day decisions will affect the future world we live in – over 5,000 sustainable cities have been built to date. Serious Geo Games presented the Earth Arcade, with games to save the world.
The Waterline Summit 2020 won the award for Renewables Education at the Humber Renewables Awards 2020.
