As Two Ridings Community Foundation celebrates its 25th anniversary, it is proud to announce the appointment of five new trustees to its Board. These appointments mark a significant moment in the Foundation’s history, as it honours 25 years of supporting communities across the region, and looks ahead to the future.

The new board members bring experience from finance, investment, and grassroots community work, complementing the skills of the established board members.

Antonia Consett, Seb Glazer and Michelle Hayes have joined the Board with immediate effect, while Dr Franklin Onukwugha and Chris Binns are set to join them in January 2026.

“We’re thrilled to welcome these inspiring individuals as we celebrate 25 years of impact and look to the future,” said Celia McKeon, Chief Executive at Two Ridings Community Foundation. “Each new trustee brings valuable skills, insight, and a deep passion for our communities that will help us shape the next chapter of our work. It is an exciting time to be joining the Foundation, and we are looking forward to working with each of them.”

Antonia Consett is a Senior Investment Manager for JM Finn and has been recognised as one of the Top 100 wealth managers in the UK. She brings a strong track record of board experience in the charity sector and was drawn to Two Ridings’ mission to transform lives through grassroots community support.

Seb Glazer is the founder and Managing Director of the Vulcan Centre, a Hull-based charity that empowers young people through sport and education. Seb is passionate about being a voice for the voluntary sector and supporting the Foundation in amplifying local impact.

Michelle Hayes is the founder and CEO of Resurrected Bites, which reduces food waste by creating pay-as-you-feel community cafés and affordable groceries across Harrogate. With lived experience of running a charity, Michelle is committed to ensuring local needs are reflected at all levels.

Two members will be joining the board in January 2026.

Dr Franklin Onukwugha, Senior Lecturer and Community Leader at Youth Aspire Connect, an award-winning charity that equips young people from disadvantaged backgrounds with the tools to thrive. With a PhD in Social Policy from the University of Hull and extensive experience in both grassroots and academic settings, Franklin brings a valuable perspective on inclusive and transformative funding.

Chris Binns is a Partner at Barnett Waddingham and an experienced investment consultant to charities, not-for-profits, and pension schemes. Chris has a strong regional connection, which fuels his desire to help Two Ridings maximise its long-term impact.

“As we reflect on 25 years of strengthening communities, we’re also focused on building the future. These new trustees are a vital part of that journey, and we are excited to have them join us.” Richard Frith, Chair of Trustees, shared with us.

Please join us in welcoming our new trustees and celebrating this exciting new chapter for Two Ridings Community Foundation.
