Triple win for KCOM at UK Fibre Awards
11 June 2025
KCOM has put Hull in the national spotlight by scooping three trophies at the 2025 UK Fibre Awards.

The Hull-based company, which celebrated its 120th birthday last year, scored a hattrick of awards in London this week, recognising its work supporting the local community, for boosting digital inclusion and for its “Power is all yours” campaign promoting the benefits of its ultrafast fibre.
Tim Shaw, Chief Executive of KCOM, said he was delighted to be shining a national spotlight on Hull and East Yorkshire.
He said: “These awards reflect KCOM’s long-standing commitment to serving our region and continually redefining the power of connectivity for our customers and communities. I’m really proud of the teams across the business for the relentless dedication, creativity and hard work they deliver every day.”
The three awards KCOM is bringing home to Hull include: Best Digital Inclusivity, Community Champion and Marketing Team of the Year. KCOM was also Runner-Up for the Overall Fibre Provider of the Year Award where it was highly commended.
The Digital Inclusivity Award celebrates an organisation that has gone above and beyond to bridge the digital divide and connect hard-to-reach premises. For KCOM this included providing essential connectivity to local community groups and tackling digital exclusion through groups such as Men in Sheds.
The Community Champion Award recognised the company’s extensive work with great local charities, particularly HEY Children’s University in the past year.
The Marketing Team of the Year Award recognised the successful launch of KCOM’s ‘The Power is All Yours’ campaign. The campaign, which was shown everywhere from the side of busses to local cinemas, was an instant hit with audiences and highlighted the KCOM difference as a fast, safe and reliable provider across the region.
The UK Fibre Awards celebrate the best in technology, projects, people, organisations, sustainability, culture and community initiatives across the UK’s fibre market.
