The WISHH National Elf Service Appeal Returns to Bring Festive Cheer to Hull Hospitals!

The appeal, run by the WISHH Charity, invites local people, schools, community groups, and businesses to get involved by fundraising or donating to help make this Christmas brighter for patients spending time in hospital.

Funds raised will help WISHH provide gifts, toys, games, and distraction items for children in Hull Royal Infirmary, as well as presents for older patients across both Hull Royal and Castle Hill Hospitals, helping to bring comfort and joy during the festive season.

Christmas can be a difficult time to be in hospital, especially for children and older patients who may be away from loved ones. The WISHH National Elf Service Appeal is all about bringing joy, connection, and festive fun to our hospitals, and we couldn’t do it without the amazing support of our community. Every pound raised and every act of kindness makes a real difference.

Community members are encouraged to unleash their creativity with festive fundraising ideas, from bake sales, Christmas jumper days, and arts and crafts events, to fun runs, carol-a-thons, or even something completely unique.

Get involved in this year’s Santa Fun Run and Walk!
We have teamed up with The Friends Of Pickering Park, with their Santa Fun Run and Walk taking place on the Sunday 7^th December, at Pickering Park, Pickering Road, Hull, HU4 7AB. Entry fee includes a Santa suite, race entry and a finishers medal! Cost is £7 child £10 per adult and £30 family (2 adults and 2 children).
