6 January 2026
North Lindsey College is preparing to welcome visitors to its highly anticipated January Open Event, taking place in the College’s new main campus building.
On Tuesday 20th January 2026, from 4:30pm to 7:00pm, the College will open its doors to the public, offering opportunity to explore its state-of-the-art learning spaces and facilities. Designed especially for Year 10 and 11 students from Scunthorpe and surrounding areas, the event will help prospective learners take their first step towards an exciting future at North Lindsey College.
With an expected attendance of around 1,000 visitors, the event promises a vibrant showcase of everything the College has to offer. Guests will have the chance to tour the impressive Lindsey Building, home to brand-new all-electric learning kitchens, an upgraded air cabin, and a dedicated SEND area featuring a fully equipped apartment simulation. Across the wider campus, students will be demonstrating hands-on skills in subjects ranging from hairdressing to plastering, giving visitors a real taste of college life.
Visitors can also explore the College’s modern communal spaces including the welcoming central diner and the spacious Learning Resource Centre, designed to support both study and social connection.
John Rees, CEO and Principal of DN Colleges Group, said:
“We’re really looking forward to welcoming prospective students to our fabulous new facilities. The new teaching, learning, and social spaces have already been a big success with this year’s students. This redevelopment has transformed our campus into a modern, professional, and inspiring environment where learners can begin building their future careers from day one.”
The Open Event is the ideal opportunity for future students and their families to explore courses, meet tutors, and experience the College’s community firsthand.
With a proud history spanning more than 75 years, North Lindsey College’s new building represents an exciting new chapter — one built on innovation, opportunity, and a continued commitment to student success.
For those unable to attend in January, the next full Open Event will take place on Tuesday 23rd June 2026, from 4:30pm to 7:00pm.
