Hull's streets are set to be transformed on Saturday 14th March with ‘Our City’ – a huge celebration of Hull. And we want YOUR team to be part of it. No donations needed, just bring your people for a day of fun and brilliant memories! The free event, directed by Hull-based arts charity Back to Ours and supported and funded by Hull City Council, will feature two walking processions and an evening finale in Queen Victoria Square.

We’re looking for Hull-based organisations big and small to sign up to be part of the processions.

This is not about donating money, it’s about being part of something new, fun and memorable, and celebrating everything that makes Hull so unique.

Want to be part of the magic? Then read on!

Reasons to get involved in Our City

  • · High-visibility brand presence at a major city-centre event
  • · Ready-made social media content and positive PR
  • · Free team-building experience your staff will love
  • · Zero financial commitment!

The processions

Two processions – one daytime and one illuminated night-time event – will wind through the city centre, each featuring four large-scale ‘Show Globes’, with themes including the sea and personal reflections.

Fantastic Hull-based organisations including The Deep, RSPCA Hull & East Riding, NAPA College and more have already signed up to participate, joining community groups, sports teams, plus groups of neighbours, friends and families – and we want you to be part of the fun, too!

Don't worry about elaborate preparation – it can be as simple as wearing themed colours, bringing props you already have and/or turning up in matching t-shirts. The Back to Ours team will help you make it work.

We're looking for teams of approx.20 people per organisation, but can accommodate groups of any size.

The evening will culminate in a finale event in Queen Victoria Square with music, dancing, performance and fireworks. Ready to join in? Spaces are filling up fast – email ourcity@backtoours.co.uk by 27th Feb to secure your spot.
