The entrepreneurial engineering business that is now Spencer Group was founded in Hull and is one of the UK’s leading privately-owned multi-disciplinary engineering companies. Spencer’s headquarters are within the prestigious One Humber Quays office overlooking the River Humber on Hull’s Marina.

Spencer has an outstanding track record of delivering innovative multi-disciplinary engineering solutions across the energy and transport sectors; specialising in logistically complex schemes from initial design concepts through to construction.

In January 2016, Spencer began constructing Energy Works - Hull’s groundbreaking new green energy development. Being built on the site of the former ADM Cocoa Mills, Energy Works is an Advanced Gasification Energy Recovery Facility.

Spencer has completed some significant projects within the region over the years, ranging from Railway Stations in West Yorkshire to specialist maintenance under and above the Humber Bridge to Biomass Loading facilities on Hull’s Docks.
