Grimsby Community Energy Limited

Grimsby Community Energy (GCE) is a community-owned renewable energy co-operative working across Grimsby, Cleethorpes and North-East Lincolnshire. We develop and own local solar power projects that help organisations cut their energy bills while reducing carbon emissions.

Founded in 2016 and owned by local members, GCE keeps the benefits of clean energy in the community. We install solar panels on local buildings such as community centres, charities and training providers, generating electricity that is used on site wherever possible.

Any surplus we make is reinvested through our Community Benefit Fund to support local projects that strengthen neighbourhoods and reduce energy use.

GCE exists to make the transition to clean energy fair, local and community-led — delivering real benefits for Grimsby today and in the future.
