Founded in 1989, Bio-D creates powerful eco-friendly cleaning products without compromising the planet. It is the UK’s leading manufacturer of environmentally responsible, ethically sound, vegan cleaning products.

Using only plant-based and naturally derived ingredients, Bio-D creates a wide range of products, from All Purpose Sanitisers to Laundry Liquids and Bathroom Cleaners. These are available in both consumer sizes and larger refills to help reduce plastic use.

Bio-D's commitment to sustainability is evident in every aspect of its operations. With a passionate team that believes in making a positive impact, Bio-D products are manufactured in its Hull factory using solar power and are packaged in recyclable packaging created from up to 100% post-consumer plastic. Alongside being the longest registered holder of The Vegan Trademark and Cruelty Free International approved, a range of its products are also accredited by Allergy UK.

In 2022, Bio-D was the first company in Hull to secure B Corp Certification. In 2024, Bio-D was also honoured with a King’s Award for Enterprise for Sustainable Development, highlighting its ongoing contribution to eco-friendly innovation.
