North Lindsey College Student Makes History with Acceptance into Prestigious Rose Bruford College

A talented North Lindsey College student is making history by securing a place at one of the UK’s most prestigious drama schools.

Charlie Thompson (19), a former Frederick Gough School student, has received an unconditional offer to study European Theatre Arts at Rose Bruford College, marking a first in the College’s history. This offer completes a perfect streak, with Charlie receiving offers from all five universities he applied to.

Rose Bruford College is renowned for producing some of the finest actors in the industry, with alumni including Academy Award-winning actor Gary Oldman. With a reputation for excellence in theatre and screen training, the college is internationally recognised as a leader in performing arts education.

“To be accepted onto the course at Rose Bruford is a dream come true,” said Charlie. “Over my three years at North Lindsey, I have learnt so much and have been supported so well to pursue my career in acting.”

Each year, students on this course receive offers from some of the UK’s top stage schools, with alumni going on to prestigious institutions like Italia Conti, Performers College, ICTheatre, Emil Dale, Bird College, Momentum, and Chichester Conservatoire. Charlie’s success showcases the ongoing high standard of the performing arts facilities at the College and demonstrates that students from the local area can compete at the highest level in the industry.
