Air Products, the world’s largest hydrogen supplier, has announced in the last 12 months plans for large scale green and blue hydrogen plants in South Humber. Most recently, announcing plans together with ABP, to construct, operate and maintain a new green energy terminal at the Port of Immingham to produce green hydrogen. If plans go ahead, the green hydrogen facility alone will bring 1,400 direct jobs to the area and would deliver up to £4.6 billion in financial benefit to the region.

Both green and blue hydrogen projects help to decarbonise hard to abate sectors and we’re excited to be contributing to the government’s net zero target.
