The sole place-promotion organisation for the region, Future Humber is a not-for-profit membership organisation fuelled by a strong network of Bondholder businesses and regional stakeholders from both the private and public sector. We come together to raise the profile of the area to support business and investment with one voice. Our network spans all sectors and size of business, from start-up to large global brands. These Bondholder ambassadors include large corporates and SMEs, alongside many entrepreneurial businesses that make up our business fabric.

As we accelerate towards net zero and address the region’s big challenges and opportunities, including skills, talent and recruitment, technology and freeports, four key elements underpin our delivery:

  • Place
  • Partnerships
  • People
  • Planet

The Humber has a powerful story to tell as an example of a ‘place’ that is defining itself through renewed confidence, ambition, investment, and opportunity, preparing to be a sustainable economic and social powerhouse for the UK.

The Humber is a strategic region with Freeport Status, is the busiest UK ports complex and is established as the UK’s Energy Estuary, a gateway to Europe and the global market. It is central to innovative, world-leading developments in renewable energy, clean growth, advanced manufacturing, digital, healthcare, food, and agriculture, culture and creative.

We work to prioritise people, place, partnerships and planet with the mission to make a difference, influence and inspire all communities so that opportunities for investment and growth accelerate through our dynamic Humber narrative.

We believe that we have a fabulous and immediate window of opportunity to truly make a difference to this region’s renewed identity and prolonged economic success, bringing together powerful collaborative voices to tell a cohesive story of immense potential for the UK.
