They are looking for a highly experienced communications and marketing professional, who is motivated by the importance of creating, maintaining, and protecting an organisation's reputation, while enhancing its prestige, and presenting a favourable brand identity.

The role of Research Communications Manager will be based in a new central Communications Team, under the leadership of the Director of Communications, and will be working alongside a range of communications functions, including the Media & PR Team and Internal Communications Team. The world is changing and the reliance upon real-time information and communication campaigns is essential for the University to operate in an ever increasingly complex, challenging and competitive market.

The core purpose of the Research Communications Manager role is to develop and deliver the University’s Research Communications Strategy and implement across all channels and key audiences, both internally and externally. Responsibilities include; showcasing research and enterprise activity, driving engagement, support and investment from key audiences and timely distribution of research news and updates. You will be the University’s lead when it comes to research communications, building and managing highly productive relationships with the Research & Enterprise (R&E) and Knowledge Exchange teams to navigate the complex research landscape across the University and stay abreast of developments. In addition, you will be responsible for developing a content platform to host research communications to enable effective distribution and work collaboratively with the Media and PR team to leverage research news to shape and influence public discourse.
