RSPCA Hull & East Riding

RSPCA Hull East Riding Stacked Digital Dog Known Blue Business Partner

We are an independently funded Charity serving Hull & East Riding.  Our mission is to rehabilitate and rehome animals that have suffered cruelty, neglect, or abandonment.

Our purpose is clear: to be the voice of animals for as long as they need us. We will continue our tireless efforts, to change the lives of animals in need, to work with the community, to educate and advise, improving the quality of life for animals in partnership with the National RSPCA.

The RSPCA is 200 years old and its founder, no other than Hull’s very own William Wilberforce. In 2020 we invested 1 million pounds in a state-of-the-art kennel build powered by solar energy. As part of our environmental focus, we planted 1000 dog friendly trees and shrubs on our exercise field.

This partnership not only promotes animal rights but also enhances local environmental sustainability and social cohesion. Your support helps reduce animal cruelty, provides education, and strengthens community resilience. Aligning with RSPCA Hull and East Riding showcases your organisation's dedication to social responsibility, fostering positive public and private sector relationships, and setting a standard for ethical, sustainable, and impactful business practices in the region.

The Third Sector in Yorkshire and the Humber is a significant part of the regional socio-economic landscape, characterised by a robust network of organisations addressing diverse community needs. Yorkshire and the Humber's Third Sector Organizations (TSOs) were particularly active in serving disadvantaged urban areas and addressing issues such as poverty, unemployment, and mental health conditions. The region reported 3,080 TSOs contributing a combined financial value of £10,920 million. TSOs also have 308,700 volunteers, responsible for delivering 22.2 million hours of voluntary service. The charitable outcomes returned are equivalent to 13,500 FTEs at a cost saving of 310 million, indicating a high efficiency and impact of sector activities.

Beneficiary demographics reveal that 53.1% of TSOs serve the general population, while significant portions focus on children and young people (39.8%), older people (35.2%), and those with physical (23.1%) or mental health conditions (29.3%). Moreover, the sector's efforts extend to ethnic minorities and households living in poverty, with 21.5% and 20.1% of TSOs, respectively, addressing these groups.

The regional Third Sector Trends analysis underscores the importance of localised support systems and the need for tailored interventions. The TSOs' contributions significantly enhance social and economic wellbeing, illustrating the sector's crucial role in fostering community resilience and inclusivity.
