Camargue are looking for a creative, intelligent, articulate, team-player keen to thrive in a dynamic and supportive agency with strong 35-year pedigree in public affairs, planning support and B2B communications.

Their business is delivering exciting projects for clients working in low carbon, renewables, transport, education, housing and sustainable development. They are helping to shape opinions and deliver new communities and technologies.

A keen interest in the media and current affairs is a must, together with creativity mind. You’ll be passionate about the key issues of today with a desire to work on projects that will make a difference for future generations. An understanding of local politics is valuable.

The candidate will play a key role across a range of accounts focused on Camargue’s two main areas:

  1. Stakeholder/PA/community-focused campaigns to build consensus and achieve planning consent. From next generation multi-billion infrastructure projects (energy, rail, utilities, road) to town centre, urban renewal and smaller scale development.
  2.  Corporate/B2B campaigns building reputation for clients, positioning them in their markets, undertaking intelligent and creative campaigns to connect them with audiences in line with their commercial objectives.

You’ll join a team delivering stakeholder engagement for national infrastructure projects and communications for international brands. Work will involve political and stakeholder liaison, and community relations. This will require creative outputs to engage communities and encourage participation in new projects.

Their clients include Anglian Water, National Highways, Cadent, bp, National Grid, Affinity Water, Scottish Power Energy Networks, Heathrow and many others.

The successful candidate will have:

  • strong writing skills and the ability to process and manage information
  • good people skills and a desire to work on a team environment with clients and colleagues
  •  intelligent thinking – be bright, ambitious, flexible and adaptable
  •  a keen interest in policy and politics
  • and be energetic, committed to succeeding for clients, and responding well to a fast-paced and dynamic working culture

Based at Camargue’s York office with the option of a number of days each week working from home.
