The Time2Volunteer partnership are helping to host a Festival of Volunteers, and volunteers and the wider public are invited to join the celebration.

The festival starts during #VolunteersWeek (June 1 – 7), with a main event at Princes Quay Shopping Centre in Hull City Centre, on Saturday, 10 June between 12 noon and 3pm.

It will be a chance to celebrate volunteers (and potential volunteers) to grab a drink chat with other volunteers and meet organisations who need to recruit volunteers.

Activities will include face painting and entertainment from performers from Freedom Road Creative Arts, Hull Beats Bus as well as The Late Night Circus.

Food and drinks will be served by FoodCycle and Hull Afro-Caribbean Association for free, or at a low cost.

The festival is hosted by Time2Volunteer Partnership, a platform run by The HEY Smile Foundation and Hull CVS, which advertises a wide range of volunteer opportunities.

Around thirty organisations that rely on volunteers will have stalls at the event, and there will also be chances to join workshops. One, led by Reckitt will look at how volunteering can help people increase employability skills and a workshop to help people learn about becoming charitable trustees.

To celebrate and reward volunteers we are also offering a #VolunteerPerks Prize draw linked to the event. So if you volunteer in Hull and East Riding register for the #FREE prize draw and they will be in with a chance of claiming a free gift donated by kind organisations in the region. Register for the draw here.

They are also encouraging volunteers to sign up for workshops at the festival. They are FREE and volunteers can register using the appropriate link below:
