Getting down to Business with BQ Magazine

As a powerful voice for Humber businesses, Bondholders has been busy working with BQ (Business Quarter) Magazine to support the development of a special 52-page report focused on the Humber as a Gateway to Europe. Casting the spotlight on core organisations, key figureheads and business leaders, the report sets the tone of excitement, self-belief, partnership and collaboration being seen across the region.

Editor, Mike Hughes said: “You can tell from the people who live here and the businesses which trade here, confidence is rising to a new high - alongside an awareness that there is a once-in-a lifetime legacy to be created, nurtured and exploited. As the attention is drawn to the surge in renewables, via Siemens and Dong, and the rise of digital activity - sweeping across towards the City of Culture in 2017, there is no better opportunity to make an indelible mark.”

BQ Magazine is gaining national recognition as a leading business publication focused on the celebration of entrepreneurship and corporate success. Offering a unique and refreshing combination of business news, features and commentary, it brings inspirational business leaders to the forefront, whilst giving focus to key national issues that have a significant impact on the economic landscape.

Their Yorkshire region title alone reaches an affluent and influential audience of circa 25,000 directors, business owners, entrepreneurs and opinion formers, offering exposure of products and services to a large, unique audience.

Sitting alongside their new Yorkshire quarterly issue, BQ’s Humber report records the major achievements of just some of the key players across the Humber and describes the region as a ‘Gateway to Europe’.

Whilst sponsored commercially by Santander, Bondholders has worked closely with the BQ team to support the development of this supplement. Involvement includes contributing financially, facilitating interviews, and supplying imagery, providing key information about the region and importantly influencing the business narrative being told.

Alongside this, various featured members such as The University of Hull, Modal Training and Wilkin Chapman to name but a few have made this supplement possible. As a result of these collaborative efforts, an 18-page Bondholder feature section has been produced - see pages 31 – 50 for details.  The magazine is now being circulated throughout the wider Yorkshire region and a digital version is also available online with a national reach of over 34,000 unique reads.

Combining both interviews and business reviews, 13 different member organisations have been featured within the report, sharing outlooks on culture, new investments, regional sector specialisms, training and regeneration projects.

Copies of the magazine and supplement are now being sent out to every Bondholder member - expected to land in letterboxes over the next few days!
