JR Rix & Sons is a 5th generation, family owned business, the present day company is run by MD Tim Rix. Employing circa 500 people, JR Rix & Sons is one of the largest, independent, family owned fuel distributors in the UK. The company has featured in the Top Track 250 awards for the last 10 years and was named 'Family Business of the Year Winner 2015.'

JR Rix & Sons continues to invest in the renewables sector, with Rix Sea Shuttle recently expanding its crew transfer vessel fleet and our new joint venutre JV BostonRix Wind, created to add greater value to operations and maintenance projects for offshore OEMs. 

Our fuel card division, Fuelmate continues to expand, growing from 5 people 4 years ago, to now employing 22 people and we're still looking to recruit to add to our sales team. In the last 15 years our fuel and lubricant business has expanded from 3 to 11 depots and we continue to look for new sites and opportunities.
